Pakistan Day Event in Georgia, USA

About 100 families gathered in the small military town of Augusta, Georgia, to mark the Pakistan Day celebrations.
The event started with national anthem and recitation of Holy Quran. A tale of how Pakistan came into being in 1947 was presented by Mr. Amjad. Sheikh Hameed recited a poem for making Pakistan a better place. Yemeen ul Islam Zuberi recited his poem on the challenges faced by sugarcane farmers.
The event was organized by the Islamic Society of Augusta (ISA) in a local community center. President Ayaz Chaudhry thanked the participants at the end of the event. A number of Pakistani dishes were served in the jointly shared dinner.
